🎓 There are 2 types of channel closures on #bitcoin #lightning:

Cooperative: One side initiates & both parties cooperate. The channel is closed immediately with 1+ confirmations.

Non-cooperative: If one party disappears a force closure is possible but it takes longer ~1-3 days.
