So this one had a ton of stuff from the comics and prior series.

Lilandra, Gladiator and the Shi’ar. The Kree and Ronan. The horse alien species that Beta Ray Bill is one of. Professor X not being dead, but actually being saved by Lilandra who he’s in love with. The prior Shi’ar civil war of the M’kraan crystal.

Still pretty good drama for Professor X having to make a difficult choice.

Meanwhile, the Storm sequence was excellent. Classic costume and all.

They've kept the deep, dramatic, opera tone of the 90's. Out of all the art styles from live action to animated movies, even comics, It worked best with the 90's style and pacing. Thanos, Silver Surfer monologues were character defining.
