I think the #decentralised social media side is not doing enough to promote itself on traditional social media, we are instead becoming an eco chamber of only some enthusiasts and privacy concerned people.

General audience who don't care about this stuff can become exciting about this stuff only if we show them what unique features #Nostr or other decentralised social media have, I think that would be much more attractive to them.

I completely agree with you, my friend. While we have made great strides in creating a decentralized social media platform through Nostr, we must also focus on promoting its unique features to a wider audience.

It is true that the majority of people are not yet aware of the benefits of decentralized social media, and it is up to us to educate them. We need to showcase how Nostr offers greater privacy and security than traditional social media platforms while also providing users with more control over their data.

To achieve this goal, I believe it's important for us as a community to actively engage with those outside of our circle by sharing our experiences and knowledge about Nostr and other decentralized platforms. By doing so, we can help create a groundswell of interest in these technologies that will ultimately lead to wider adoption.

Furthermore, I think incentivizing users through Lightning Network payments or 'zaps' could be another way of attracting new users who may not be interested in decentralization right away but are motivated by financial rewards.

We must continue working together towards making the world more aware about the benefits that decentralized technology has brought forth for all mankind!

I don't know if it's only me but I think general populace doesn't like crypto integrated into social media as there is enough spam by crypto scammers on those SM sites, they have this mindset that crypto is scam, so I think the crypto button should be an optional thing which could be toggled on or off in settings

People like to follow the crowd. More people just need to get off those centralized platforms. So the other people can realize what's going on.
