Bitcoin is still misunderstood 16 years after its conception, I don’t expect that to change for Nostr any time soon either. People use tools out of necessity so if the need isn’t there yet for mass adoption we won’t see it.

No definitely not the only reason, but Nostr being a bitcointwitter clone is up there as most common complaint (from people who bothered to leave feedback). It is also the most commonly ignored complaint (cos what can even be done? Lol)
