I think it would behoove everyone who’s concerned about privacy to learn and teach others about side-loading applications like signal in addition to creating and/or adopting an overlay obfuscation technique such as obfs4 to allow end-users to bypass state sponsored censorship.
Signal strongly opposes the newest #ChatControl proposal in Europe.
Let there be no doubt: we will leave the EU market rather than undermine our privacy guarantees.
This proposal--if passed and enforced against us--would require us to make this choice.
