We shouldn't ask, "Do you rent or own?" We should ask, "Do you rent from an individual or the government?"

There is no arrangement where property is not rented from the government; renting from the individual only increases the amount of counter parties.

Similar with marriage. How did we get duped into asking for permission or blessing from goofballs in black robes? It’s between two people or between two people and God. Inviting the government into our covenant is weird.
