That one on the left is for when you want your network to rock! One end goes in the amp for your electric guitar and the other end goes onto your switch.
At least that is what I imagined when I saw it.

You’re guess is as good as mine lol
Left: network cable wired to 1/4" jack for tapping data noise to high gain amplification.
Right: single coil guitar pickup wired to 1/4" jack. This picks up EMF action and also goes to amplification.
