Are you still welcoming new Nostriches? If you have the time, it's a good idea to pop into global using welcome.nostr.wine as your global relay and look for new Nostriches. If your client doesn't support that feature, you can always check out the #introductions hashtag, but be warned sometimes this is filled with spam. Happy building!

Global just had bad stuff on a big relay. Not the best time to recommend.

That's why you set your global feed to only use welcome.nostr.wine and then your global feed is only new notes from new npubs (with some false positives).

wait, you can set your global to specific relays?

Depends on the client, but yes.

Off the top of my head, Amethyst, Damus, Snort, Iris all allow you to do this, possibly others.

actually some client allow you see GLOBAL Feed from each relay u choose. notes appear much faster (including junks/unwanted)

The only to actually browse global 😅 especially if you have a paid relay.

I haven’t heard of welcome.nostr.wine.

Any reason it’s not more common on apps by default?

Also, I wouldn’t call that Global.

It's been common to do this on clients for about a year now. It's just not default.

There also is no such thing as global. It's just the relays that you use. It's more of a local.

are there any articles or anything you’d recommend to someone who’s trying to understand how this works?? i’d like to try my luck here but i’m really confused at the moment

What client are you using?
