“On March 27-28, 2024, engineers from nine central banks around the world joined the DCI in person at the MIT Media Lab for a workshop titled 'Engineering for Privacy in Central Bank Digital Currencies.' Participants discussed privacy in CBDCs, covering legal, policy, and social aspects, and explored technical design approaches and future implications for privacy and CBDCs. Thanks to all who attended for their contributions. We look forward to convening stakeholders for another roundtable on key issues soon.”
