no, it's not about the privacy of it
you know how often when you use twitter or facebook you leave the thing outraged, or triggered in some way? that's because they have some of the smartest developers working to try to make it as addictive as possible, and the more you are triggered, or disgusted, out outraged, the more money the make off of you
nostr is a protocol where that simply CANNOT happen, which translates into people being much nicer, the place being much much more friendly, honest, and human
and yeah, it has a bunch of other niceties like the fact that no one manipulates you, no one is selling your attention, etc
