i wont die on this hill. More than any toys, are just good drills/basics done well. When you are totally shitting yourself, whatever youre familiar with is better than a new toy you've pulled twice a year at the range.

But, something that helps at night and low light is a broad plus, under the above caveats.

I do agree its not to improve accuracy when most defended situations are <20ft.

But when the brown adrenaline has stripped you of everything except your drills, all else is refinement and careful decisions. Simpler is better.

Low light can reduce your familiarity with aim if you only train daylight/indoors. Red dot can help cut though glare or for people with glasses etc.

You can't glue skills onto your gat to compensate laziness. Same as any tool.

In that case I'd think a flashlight would be better than a laser. I'm not fighting or arguing brother, just thinking out loud. I did think about a small laser light (super compact) combo for the front rail of my nightstand gun.
