This perspective is so incredibly ignorant. It’s very unfortunate because these people would rather close themselves off to be loud, obtuse, and wrong instead of engaging in meaningful discussions. nostr:note1x32gawx26l8xt83zsnkdmxzn4zy2d5ekrhun4c5vgzt0jagujhhqehsgwd

Well he's from South Africa and lives in America so there's that. It's a pretty funny meme that is knocking racism by pointing out favoring a particular group of people based on their skin tone. A simple way to find out if something is racist use the reciprocal "White American History Month." If it sounds racist then it probably is.
Affirmative Action was racist from the start using the divide and conquer agenda to favor one group over another.
I understand. I wasn’t calling the meme racist. It’s wrong and unfortunately minimizes the complexity of race in America. A topic most have opinions on but don’t have enough knowledge to fully articulate what it is.
Elon Musk is from the country of South Africa. Who relocated to the country of the US… making him a South African American. Similar to a Japanese American in the same position.
The term “African-American” in its essence is illogical and rooted in sociopolitical tactics of appeasement and disillusionment. The very same thing happened with Affirmative Action.
Probably a more appropriate term might be American. I applaud people if they took the time to understand what makes America AMERICA! It's the people.
Idk… you’re right, but I think it’s important to acknowledge all the people that make up America especially those that were integral to every aspect of the country’s origin and continuation.
