it does seem like pheonix is the best of the bunch, and im certainly leaning that way especially if you say you havent had any channels close.

The initial channel fee is kind of the only "downside". I believe the channel has to be 10,000 sats minimum. And an opening fee of 3000 sats. So opening a channel large enough for you before you would withdraw on chain to keep that fee a smaller percentage of the transaction is better practice.

I want to say I saw on here from nostr:npub150q6tnk63wrt0jmy6ht27k8u0pa6gq8jjy4eq7tf6f6507t9ghgqnnen2h that he had a channel close on Phoenix and was able to access the funds after... I may be mistaken of the note originator though.

Phoenix is good wallet for overall use, but it does not support nostr zaps (nip-57) yet. I have asked Acinq about its roadmap, but its not on horizont as they are fully employed by large rework of the app.

Nostr zaps becomes my most frequent use of lightning in past months, so I have to accept custodial WoS for some time.

So, what are you using? I’ve been using zeus, but my channel got closed and I need a back up until it opens back up because I’m using my friends node. I haven’t been able to zap for a few days, so thanks for that information. I won’t be going to Phoenix for now.

Wallet of Satoshi is custodial but works well for sending and receiving zaps. I was using that for nostr but recently switched to alby+Zeus.

Poenix I mainly use as my lightning storage Wallet, with several others fed by it or to it depending on use case.

Wallet of Satoshi for zapping and Phoenix for all other transaction.
