Please explain your process. When I’ve sewn paper in the past I’ve used both waxed thread for leather & machine cotton. Oh & embroidery floss too. Placed holes 🕳️ before & after & received different results. #art is fun 🤩

Hello, I do make holes with an awl to sew through on the signatures and for this book on the cover paper along the spine. I use a waxed linen thread to bind everything together. Sewing without pre punching holes seems difficult to me! This particular book will use long stitch binding method to attach the signatures to the cover paper 🙂
Awesome 😎 I love hearing from other artists about their processes. Totally agree that sewing without holes can be difficult. Hand sewing & machine sewing is fun for me. 😊
