I walked right into that one haha

I'm looking at buying a home to get into the market and get my kid into a school so I'm weighing btc vs home.

Tbh, I'd say you could put a zero on the end of that for the end of 2029, about 500k.

Well, can't live in yer Bitcoin. My 2 sats: buy the house & leverage as much fiat as you can pay back monthly. If you must sell for a down payment, set aside a dca to keep you on track.

My guess is above 200k usd in 5 years my hope is 58k

I'm like well maybe this is what I've been hodling for. Btc is up and without this current state I couldn't afford this house

My perspective:

Don’t buy a home to get into the housing market; buy a home to have a home if you don’t want to deal with a landlord (I.e., telling you how you can’t paint or garden, etc.)

If the school is government-run, I hope you can be persuaded to consider other options. They are awful in so many ways.

Are there options for would-be teachers who don't want to work for the government?

Private schools

Independent tutor

Teach for an after school program and/or camp

Become a dad and participate in your local homeschool co-op

FYI one does not have to be a parent to teach homeschoolers. My Spanish tutor was employed by our co-op and had no kids.

Also FYI I’ve done most of these things, at home and abroad. Working for an after school tutoring program was what I did in China.

I did that some in China too.

A co op sounds like a good idea

Why not to get in the housing market?

My thoughts are build equity, have something for my family. But that houses have so many expenses, plus we've a baby coming in the spring so there's those expenses as well.
