Today in Melbourne we’re expecting a change in the weather. The BOM has forecast it to be “windy”.

So VicRoads decided to temporarily drop the speed limit on all bridges from 80kmh to 60kmh, ostensibly due to the risk of crosswinds on trucks.

No cost/benefit analysis on the extra commute times extrapolated across the few hundred thousands people this will impact, or on transport, no calculations on lost productivity or anything at all really. Just climate zealots in charge of nanny state infrastructure unilaterally determining what is best for millions of people.

That’s crazy. I feel most of the public is over protective when it comes to weather now.

One hypothesis I have is many people aren’t outdoors as much and don’t experience “weather” on a more regularly and natural occurrence.

They’ve beaten people over the head with their narrative for so long that many won’t dare oppose them lest they be called all sorts of names and decried as a heretic.

This weather does not warrant any intervention whatsoever. But I’ll be the crazy one for suggesting Government shouldn’t be interfering.

On another topic your banner has always been one of my favs 💯💜⚡️

Thank you brother 🤙

So they want us to have more accidents, just at lower impact.. Got it 🤙

"Doing something"

Useless and counterproductive, but it signals "we care".

That is 💯 precisely what it is
