It’s extremely difficult to hodl long term and was much harder before ETFs/gov acceptance. Ppl get impatient and do too much. I think society has also been conditioned to think any “active” work is real work, and just hodling bitcoin is not working.

It seems so much worse to be one of them than to be a nocoiner who just missed it entirely.

The rule in general with bitcoin has been capitulation. Us holders are the exception to the rule. Built different . Some of the biggest bitcoin haters are past bitcoiners with regrets.
