This was my change in a Cafe in Harare today. As inflation is going wild - exchange rate was 1 USD : 200 Zimbabwe Dollar one year ago and is 1 : 8,000 today! - everyone who can get a hold of USD is using it. Only problem: there are no coins, which means if something costs 2,50 USD you need to pay 3. Only option is to ask if they can give you something else as change. This biscuit was my 50 Cents change. And you should never take a torn banknote as someone else won’t accept it.

Thanks for sharing Anita. Do alot of people use tether USD in Zimbabwe?

I don’t know how many, but what I know is that of the people who use crypto 80% use USDT and 20% bitcoin.

That’s interesting. Thanks for sharing

Sweet change!

Ngl I would love a tasty treat instead of some thin pucks of dirty cheap metal

#Bitcoin Fixes This

That is some pastry deflation as it would cost 3.50 USD here

thats how saddam dinars worked even after he was gone ...

I witnessed a milion change in one day...

Hear me out: What if they just gave you like a thousand sats instead of a biscuit?

Churro change

Doesn’t resolve exact change. However it does bring stability.
