So, letโ€™s reflect. When I asked for Bitcoin donations, people responded with โ€œget a job.โ€ ๐Ÿ™ƒ

โ€œThis is a post begging for money.โ€ ๐Ÿ™ƒ

โ€œYou're gonna have to build your own job.โ€ ๐Ÿ™ƒ

โ€œFiat people think everything is provided for them.โ€ ๐Ÿ™ƒ

โ€œAlways begging for money.โ€ ๐Ÿ™ƒ

โ€œHard to live on Bitcoin if you don't have any. Have you suggested to earn some money first.โ€ ๐Ÿ™ƒ

This speaks volumes of the cultural differences between different social networks. On the fediverse I routinely see peopy begposting that they can't afford rent this week, with a link for donations.

People may or may not choose to donate. I seldom do, because I'm broke myself, and I usually don't know the people making the request from a bar of soap. But it seems like people often get the help they need, and no one makes entitled comments like the ones you quote.
