First step. Make WhatsApp ( a shitty spyware app for instant messaging that’s controlled by the US) illegal to use.

Second step. Bring everyone to WeChat or telegram (another one but controlled by China or Russia, which is well aligned with the C word)or created a bananistic version of it only for Venezuelan citizens.

You can already tell what is it that good old Maduro wants.

People is already taking steps to message privately, ephemeral messages are gonna be huge for Venezuelans and sadly, they’ll probably go to the second best (telegram).

They will surely create an app and give it benefits over the alternatives… with the privacy and security that have always characterized dictatorships

In Cuba they created Todus, a messaging app but it has remained only there although it had its moment of fame
