As a kid I had to learn to use commands to start and operate computers. People used to install their own dial up modems and other hardware as a matter of routine usage. Nothing came installed by default. Nothing was user friendly. But people learned how to use it and over time it got easier. Those are all “normies”

The average person did not have a computer when it was common for people to service their own. They were a luxury item. I made all my extra money as a teen doing that for them. Back when knowing how to make a computer do something made you a Computer Wizard.
We literally sit in exactly that spot in history on Nostr I think. We have a great thing, the early adopters are here tinkering.
Except it’s also Mac vs. PC all over again.
