‘Ruben has been struggling to walk again since his seizure.

Today, he was taken into hospital for an MRI and Dr. Caldwell will take the opportunity to do a closer physical examination of his spine. This will give us a full diagnosis and a decision can be made on treatment.’

I don't know if Lions can take anti-inflammatories. But maybe some anti-inflammatories, vitamins and time.

Unless he's got some kind of organic brain condition. Bacterial infection, or metabolic disorder.

Strokes may be the results of occlusive blood flow from clots. Others may be the result of aneurysms. Bleeding in the brain.

Presumably they have identified which kind he has and can treat it effectively..🦁🫂

Ruben arrived at the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary last year with degenerative neuropathy and spondylitis which were causing him severe difficulties walking, losing balance and stumbling. This is due to malnutrition and poor care throughout his life, combined with confinement and in-breeding.
