I didn't realize until I finished public school that I missed the entire point of it.

I thought it was to learn and be educated.

But in reality it was to learn to sit down and shut up for 8 hours to prepare for the workforce.

You're taught how to be obedient, how to understand structure, and the value of doing work of anyone with authority that tells you to do it.

Nowadays you're taught to love the government, focus on every negative aspect of your country’s history, surrender your rights, get offended by everything, make excuses for your shortcomings, and force these ideas upon others.

who would have thought that the government wants to teach nothing but obedience, huh? 🙄

Exactly. Be a good citizen and pay your taxes 🤐

In hindsight, as kids from the pre-google era we didn’t have today’s tools to be aware of these things.

Now, we know better.
