they need to invent a trash can that is similar to a fridge. because it is better sealed and will prevent any kind of unwanted visitors. everyone is paying massive amounts for pest control, and i think it could be eliminated if they change the trash design....so anyways, it works for me. i live in a very busy apartment complex and i keep my scraps from my veggies, fruits, and meats in the fridge til i am ready to toss and havent had a problem. They are very attracted to meats and I think that is the problem, most people dont clean the smell and the scraps....so i was thinking to help manage this system, make fridge like trash cans....anyways, weird pitch the nowhere but it would solve a lot.
