How do you find it, I am not impressed to be honest..

Some little things:
Can only quote boost
Can't zap some wallets (Amethyst and Primal can)
Posting or replying to notes has a bug that deletes whole note if I try and delete one character
No reply/boost/zap count at bottom of notes so can't tell who I've interacted with
Can't really use it as it is - should be good when it's fixed though 😀👍

How's Damus compared to [what did you use before that?] ?
Was about to reply from that, and had some issues with typing after deleting some words, probably a bug.
Anyway, I used and using mostly #Amethyst (90%) and #Primal, #Damus seems the fastest on loading feeds and scrolling.
The aspect of it doesn't excites me and I cant see many colours, like the emojis are all grey. Also I can't react or see reactions on notes, I don't like it.. for me reactions are important, THEY AREN'T JUST a "like".
I can't #zap or see thei statistics on the notes, probably there's need to add something after installing the app, but that is not the best for new users, also don't get why isn't native since Androids clients don't need to follow Apple's regulations.
I am not sure if the Damus iOS version is same as the android, but if they are specular, well I would say they hype Damus nostriches had in those years is a bit exaggerated..

Scrolling is smooth, but trippy. The acceleration is off, but Will has already said that is being fixed. It's pretty minimalist. I noticed some text field bugs as well. It's still a beta, I'm sure it will get much better.
yeap, indeed "minimalist" is the right word, and it's not a bad thing.
i do remember to have seen screenshots of the iOS version and looked different, I guess this beta version is very early, but at least we finally have an android version of if 🥹🤯🔥💜😍
Damus for iOS and Android are completely different apps. The Android version is Notedeck.
If I'm being honest, Damus for Android is still too early for me to want to use on the daily. I need my Amethyst features as a power user.
That said, Notedeck (Damus) is my number one desktop app. I use it on desktop by far more than another app by a long shot. I'd bet I'm using Notedeck 99% of the time on desktop.
When additional column support comes to Android, I'll probably use Notedeck more to track content and stay organized.

We are like 2 years behind development of existing apps, things take time
I was ignorant about the difference between the iOS and Android version.
It just makes me mad understanding how much incompatibility there's is in tech or whatever between the two.. like how better tech we would have if devs alla over the world didn't have to choose to build software for one or the other and anyone could have focus on just good tech..
.. anyway thanks for taking the time to develop an android client, Apple should rotten, they are bastards and a cancer for innovation with their policy, they are the centralization itself.. good tech maybe, but a cancer as company.
