Opals are one of my favorite stones to wear. Women always assume my birth month when they see them on me. When they learn there’s no correlation, they think I’m crazy for wearing it all the time because it’s bringing me “bad luck.” Do you believe in the energy of stones? I think they look magical 🧙♀️
There’s an old school superstition that it’s bad luck to buy yourself an opal. I love them 😍

And I do! I find it interesting to learn what and why people believe brings them health/well being vs illness/bad luck. Opals are very soft. I could see a group of jewelers deciding they didn’t want to sell them to customers because they are hard to work with and fall out of settings easily
