I feel like using criminal law to go after someone for having sex with teenagers (all the way up to 21!) is overkill. Nobody actually cares that much.

Especially as some states don't even have Romeo and Juliet laws. Romeo wasn't a pervert.

I see your point and I agree, the age of consent laws are a social pathology that need reform

(talking about anything exceeding biological sexual maturity)

One of the problems, people are infantilized throughout young adulthood. Somehow a 25yr old cannot make their own decisions.

This wouldn't be a problem if Courting as a practice came back, only being presented to a woman with a familial third party in the room. Not having sexual relations until marriage. Actually getting married within the Church.

I'm of the perspective that Christians are not married unless its through the church.

So called "Christians" get married through a Las Vegas Drive Thru, nope. Not married.

It's because they are in school for too long. Keeps them from maturing.

Lots of 25 year-olds are mental children. 🙈

I would even say, mandatory schooling with a standardized curriculum. Not every local community has the same educational needs or desires.
