Rebalancing channels. Did a 400k sat loop out. The balance in the channel changed by 568k sats. Total channel amount stayed the same of course.

Why didn’t the balance in the channel change by something like 400k sats (minus a few sats in fees)?

I think of this using the abacus analogy. I ran 400k beads through the channel thinking I’d knock that many beads to the other side. Instead I knocked 1.42x that many beads over.

What am I missing here?
