Honestly USAID is a fairly small part of the US government dedicated to the non-military maintenance of the American empire. If you’re excited about supporting China then you would like to end USAID. Because China’s already got a more effective competitor in their Belt and Road program.
Ending USAID is not supporting China. America can project soft power without the dark underbelly of illegal CIA covert ops though USAID.
