So can you only sell your bitcoin if someone else buys it? So it’s not even a possibility for everyone to sell?
That's how markets usually work.
You need a buyer for someone to sell, be it retail traders (individuals), exchanges, institutions, or companies.
All the price reflects is what someone is willing to buy it for, and the amount someone is willing to sell it for.
