I was talking about insects in general. I used dragonflies as an example but nevertheless you will never find a 6 foot long dragonfly. It's impossible due to oxygen diffusion given volume to surface area ratio.
Discussion
As I said, I understand the analogy. My point was that you "could" find them, given the right oxigen concentration. The higher the concentration the bigger they can be. The environment is the key.
Going back to the analogy, the more favorable the environment is (be it wealth of the county, lack of education, or simply submissiveness of the population) the bigger the government and the megacorps can grow.
Now I want to breed a 6 foot dragonfly just to prove you wrong 😂
1: Get a few thousands adults.
2: Cross them and artificially select the biggest descendants to be the parents of the next generation.
3: Repeat over several million generations. While doing this, progressively increase the O2 concentration of the terrariums.
4: Take a selfie with your gigant dragonflies.
5: Post it on Nostr and rub it to nostr:npub1vwymuey3u7mf860ndrkw3r7dz30s0srg6tqmhtjzg7umtm6rn5eq2qzugd
6: ...
7: Profit
