Can't zap you still. Do you need to upgrade your Alby app perhaps?
Discussion
My zapper runs on my lightning node. My lightning node is dependent upon my base chain node. My base chain node is currently resyncing the blockchain because it apparently got deleted as I was switching from one Bitcoin implementation to another.
It's probably going to be less than a week or so before I'm back up and running based on the rate this thing is syncing.
I appreciate you letting me know. I can ping you once everything's all synced up and running again and I'm ready to test the zapper?
Sure man.
I love your low time preference.
You know that you could spin up a wallet of Satoshi or coinos.io address in about 1 min though?
I had/have WoS. I just opened it up and it said something like 'region not supported'. I don't remember the specifics but that's almost certainly why I stopped using it.
coinos.io I've never heard of.
I could look into it but frankly I don't want to disrupt anything. I don't know enough to be confident I'm not going to screw something up and I'm happy to wait for the semi-permanent set up to get re-established. I barely got it set up before and that might be generous to even say that. I think I have more to learn about running nodes and all the dependencies and what all the parts and pieces even do before I'd feel comfortable hot swapping interim solutions in play in the event that the node is down.
Eventually I will probably get more than one node up and running. A little redundancy doesn't hurt. I have a generator. Until recently, 2 vehicles. Why not. Could be good for my development somehow.
You're probably in the US & have an old version. The new version for US residents is non custodial (I've not used it).
Coinos is one I've been using to orange pill people on V4V.
I think setup is as quick as putting in a username & a new password. Very quick & easy. It doesn't need them to download an app & you immediately get a personalised address.
It's custodial but we're not talking large sums (yet). You'd just change that LN address in your profile & save it.
You can change it back again in a week when your copy of the Timechain is fully synced.
OK, I tried it. Thanks. Had study group today so I'm getting around to this now.
Coinos address is live (I think).
I'll just have to swap in the getalby lightning address again once the node situation is resolved and then send sats from coinos to a different wallet.
Thanks
