I was in the rec center hot tub one day in a popular climbing area. He came up to me and said "hey, I'm Alex". Guy's pretty humble, at least back then. This was at least 15 years ago. I wish he'd stop soloing. It will be sad to see him go and sacrifice his life to it. Maybe he'll come to his senses and sacrifice his life for his family instead
