Is #Monero traceable?

I am still researching.

The document published by Moonstone Research does not clarify whether they had access to the private keys for the analysis.

If so, the report omitted to include this relevant information.

Is it having view-key enough to get such details?

If the wallet empty anyway, I see no problem to give the private key to researchers to gather whatever is possible (quite limited though)

Sure, but I was referring to the traceability of the Monero, as a network privacy concept.

Whether they gave the private keys to the researchers or not is important to know how traceable Monero is.

You should assume who you send funds to will be forced to share their private key.
