I'm new to Lightning Network and I am feeling overwhelmed. Phoenix wallet is telling me I'll have to pay 2,984 sats in order to receive 10 sats. I don't like that but I'll stick with it and try to understand. Why is this happening? Is this normal? Any resources to learn more about how this works?

I got the same thing. Testing out the wallet and tried to send 1000 Sats but wanted to charge that amount. I know Mutiny has something similar. Sucks to have to pay all this to set up a wallet. Hoping it's just a one time deal?
That's the thing I'm unsure of. One time? Every now and again? Is it once per recipient? I don't know where to find these answers. If it's a one time thing I could swallow that, but if I have to pay what equates to a $5 fee every time I want to use lightning, I think I'd prefer to use Dogecoin which has fees of around $0.17.
