I grew up around Pedregal visiting my cousins. But my home town is Cuernavaca. It's has changed drastically.

I'll have to look around and see where I would like to be . Not buying just renting. The new govt is horrible, full blown commies. The judicial system here has just been changed for the worst.
A cartel state is ideal either but I would argue Mexico is trending in the right direction on average. Not saying there won’t be some bumps along the way. Hoping for the best in Latam!
I had a conversation with my family last night at dinner where they said they might move to the US depending in what happens with the judicial system 🙃

The govt here can't take anything if you don't own it.
Have you considered living only part time in Mexico? Under 180 day per year keeps you from becoming a tax resident.
My life goal is to split my time across multiple countries over the year to avoid triggering tax residency
I have been contemplating the same. Too early to tell though. The pieces are there I just have to put them together.
