What’s the best way to sell a digital book on my cloud hosted website using a full node on a home LAN (either Start9 or Umbrel).

I’m looking at BTCPay Server on Umbrel at the moment, but not sure how it integrates with my full node.

Btcpayserver requires clearnet but umbrel is tor by default.

You can either force users to use tor (not great), create some tor to clearnet bridge (not easy) or configure your home umbrel for clearnet (not easy but the best solution).

Let's see if anybody else has better suggestions, also interested in this.

I already have a Dynamic DNS tunnel to my house which I can port map to the BTCPay Server. I’m relatively comfortable with the security implications of this.

But configuring BTCPay Server doesn’t seem to acknowledge its sitting on a full node and not sure why it wants me to create or import a wallet when I already have one on my full node. I have given up at that point for now.

You are using btcpayserver provided by Umbrel right?

Yes

That btcpay on umbrel didn't work for me (two years ago) - have a lnd on raspberry now and create my invoices by rest calls.

Ooh, thanks for the feedback. I don’t fully understand your answer, but luckily the Internet does.

Research time πŸ˜ƒ

Instead of Umbrel I would go with MyNodeBTC or RaspiBlitz πŸ’œβœ¨

Start9 is another good option. I use a refurb dell micro PC with the start9 software.
