Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a guard, were martyred for their faith. Ermil was tortured for refusing to renounce Christ, while Stratonic, secretly a Christian, wept openly at Ermil's suffering. This revealed his faith, and both were condemned. They were bound, cast into the Danube, and received their crowns of glory in the icy depths. Holy Martyrs Ermil and Stratonic, pray to God for us!
