Youre right, and i agree.
Always so much more to learn, and i definitely learned some tonight.
Ended up running sound with another engieer for 10 bands in 4 hours, with all of the surprises that comes with.
Next sound gig is at a restaurant where a fellow will be playing an acoustic guitar for 3 hours and singing and thats it, and im not worried about it all, but im still gonna learn something.
This your full time thing?
Nah, but i wish it were. I got a 9 to 5 in the industry as well. Same place as the show tonight. But thats way farther removed from actual music.
Live sound, producing, and playing music myself is what i care about, and one of the things I went to school for. Would definitely do any of that full time if I could pull it.
But was thinking about what you said, and came to a conclusion.
Either keep practicing or stop caring, otherwise im gonna just be miserable, and i sure cant stop caring.
Maybe Conclusion isnt a good word, but something that'll let me get to sleep lmao.
9 am is way closer than id like it to be.
