I find the debate funny. There's no real reason to rename it. I do wonder what the future will call it, though. "Bits" was never very widely used to mean microbitcoin, to my knowledge, so maybe that'll be what we call a mili-sat once we need that granularity.

Yeah, some apps are already call them millisats after the sats, for #lightning fees granularity

Milisat is typically reserved for node operators, but once the average person needs to be conscious of it, will it keep that name? Maybe we'll see slang, like "buck" for "dollar", for different denominations or bitcoin, such as "bit" for "milisat". I kinda like the sound of it.
