Just found out I missed the palindrome block two hours ago :(
Discussion
Now we have to wait for the next one…….
Every palindrome is a palindrome away from another palindrome, mathematically.
784487-783387=001100
🤯woah
Very interesting……
Source please?
Not that I don’t believe you but I’d like to see the proofs because I’m a nerd
It makes sense just intuitively. Since the numbers on each side have to match, any number added to it to make another palindrom would have to increase the number on each side by the same amount
111 breaks that rule down and up right?
111-101=10
121-111=10
I didn’t say the difference of EVERY palindrome pair is a palindrome. Just that for every palindrome, there is a match (actually many) to result in another palindrome.
111+222=333
121+303=424
Theorem 2 is close. https://www.scirp.org/pdf/apm_2022042815530891.pdf
Very cool!
-80% of the numbers less than 10,000 can converge to palindromes within 4 steps;
-90% of the numbers can converge to palindromes within 7 steps
