Extremely sad today. Just learned that a few weeks ago, a homeless man broke into my dad’s office where I’m keeping all my stuff until I find a new place to live. After going through everything, seems like he didn’t take anything monetarily valuable (aside from a generator that we retrieved), but he stole some things that hurt more in my heart. He stole/drank several of my limited edition beer / Red Bull cans I’ve collected over the course of half my life, along with my Los Angeles Rams Lays chips I won in a sweepstakes. I hate that I put so much value into these little things, but really hurt that some collectibles that made me happy that I was so proud of were taken from me. Just had to kind of vent a bit because I really am sad about it.

I’m sorry to hear that dog. Doesn’t matter what the objects are if you have a sentimental connection to them. You can be sad. In some ways, money is worth less than things we place invaluable worth on.

You can continue collecting whatever you like to collect, it doesn’t need to stop because they’re gone. Maybe this current misfortune will become a future net positive in some weird way you can’t foresee right now.
