Thank you! Fire born ecosystems are incredible. We just decided to get in the way and suppressed them a little too much causing and over abundance of fuel buildup which in turn causes the severity of the fires to be much higher damaging everything in their paths. Prescribed burning is the answer when done right.
That sounds logical. Unfortunately, I know very little about it. Then what we see here is prescribed burning?
I was a firefighter in the Wallowa Whitman forest for a season like 8 years ago. Was a good time.
