I think I'm giving up on fountain. The UI is just not responsive enough. The app feels slow, it crashes, it's hard to get to the shows I want rather than their timeline view and the sats aren't really flowing.

I tried giving some feedback but feels like it fell on deaf ears.

Every 6 months or so the platform does get better. Maybe if they add some more Nostr integrations, like actual Zaps, then we'd be more enticed to use it more? I still like the value for value aspect aspect though. We don't have any other podcast client that allows us to do that.

True but it crashes 4/5 times a day and usually when most annoying (like when I'm driving). I've stuck with them for a couple years on value for value but the app has to function

interesting. i don't think i've ever had it crash. though i probably only use it to listen to 1-3 podcasts a week, so not very often.

I probably do 10 a week. Same episode will crash several times a day and then it doesn't always remember what I was listening to or where I was lol

I don’t have the most seamless experience with fountain, but it’s not as bad as yours. I often find that coming back to it in the morning causes it to get stuck

Breez allows streaming sats and boosts. Plus if you don't want to run a separate wallet you have everything in one place. The UI is OK but not great. However it does not crash.

Have you tried breeze?

Not really, podcast UI good?

I’ve listened to a few with them and have enjoyed it. I have a lower than average podcast habit though. They have a cool streaming sats feature as well.

That’s some of the reasons I gave up on it a while back.

I want to like it, but I always go back to Overcast, which I’ve used for years. Fountain crashes for me sometimes too, but it’s also that sometimes it won’t pause from my earbuds and some podcasts start over at the beginning when I resume after pausing.
