#Nostr The ability to never need to delete posts is one of the souls of Nostr. Only those who need to create gods need to delete the function, because deletion can create a perfect god. I understand your point, and I respect that.

But from a privacy point of view, I should be able to have control over my data, and that includes the right to be forgotten.

Agree, respect privacy. Things you need to be private are not posted to public platforms, and people may need to get used to Nostr's post undeletable feature. DMs on Nostr are encrypted if you need to send private messages. #Nostr provides the function of permanently deleting accounts.

Agreed. The only comment that I have is that the delete account is not effective really, it deletes the identity, but the notes stay here. So if I dig through the notes, and there is some personal info I can link them to the person. That’s not what deletion is. The whole concept does not exist today in Nostr.

It's bound to happen, that's the great thing about #Nostr not being able to delete posts, evil is recorded and people have the option to block accounts.

Good people focus on good people, and evil people focus on evil. The function of never being able to delete posts makes it impossible for evil to take on the skin of good people.

This is Nostr's high-quality soil, and a healthy forest will grow.
