I don't believe for one second Israel is pulling the strings. The USA uses Israel in the exact same way it has been using Ukraine. They are vassals to do the dirty work.
So why not just keep funding Ukraine? It's a more politically accepted path.

The US has been funding Ukraine since 2014 and still is. You think they could keep their country running otherwise?
The truth is, the USA and NATO know they have lost, which is why Ukr is gradually being ignored.
