im trying to sync my monero wallet on garnet. it seems to be stuck syncing, but i still have a receive option. i clicked it and it generates an address. i then ( thankfully) ran the address in feather which i have the garnet wallet restored into, and it says this address is not an address associated with this wallet. anyone else experienced something similar?
Does the address start with 4, 8 or 5?

4 is mainnet addresses, 8 is mainnet subaddresses, 5 is testnet addresses. If it doesn't start with a 4 or an 8 youre using the testnet version of garnet which would cause the problem you're talking about.

OK, so that's the "main" sort of address for the wallet.
When you say you "ran the address in feather" what does that mean? If you restored the seed in feather that garnet gave you, the addresses should match, you should see the same address for both wallets.
i figured it out i think. i had 2 accounts in garnet and i believe it was a caching issue from switching between accounts. so it was the address for this other nsec
