You shouldn't be expected to tip if you're picking up food from a restaurant. Am I evil for thinking this? I don't tip at the grocery store, and the cashiers there have a lot more work to do than someone ringing up a single menu item and handing it to me. Idk. If you hit "no tip" then they'll probably put just the tip of their dick in your food. It's probably best not to eat at restaurants at all. haah.

You shouldn’t have to tip unless the service was above what you expected, that goes for all industries. Tipping is at your discretion (unless you’re in the US)

I am in the US. So yeah, tipping for table service is pretty much required, even if it's not good service. It never used to be for pickup/takeout, but the whole plandemic thing kinda changed that and now it's never gone back to normal. The little iPads we pay on make you click "no tip" and it just feels like a trap.
