Replying to Avatar Final

One of our full time devs are working their resources on building our own text-to-speech and speech-to-text integration for GrapheneOS. None of the available apps are suitable for inclusion. None are modern enough aside from Sherpa and it has issues including high latency making it unsuitable for use with TalkBack. Our own implementation is going to be significantly better.

Do you know of any other alternatives to back it up or will Seedvault be fixed at some point?

Seedvault just isn't good but it's all that's available for it. Sorry for that. I'd suggest seeing what apps allow you to import/export data if need be or backing up manually if Seedvault doesn't work. It's something that should be replaced.

Is Seedvault designed to only backup phone settings? It does not back up apps by default right?

Apps can only be backed up if they are opted-in to allow that. It is unfortunately quite limited.
