Yeah, the right music for the right mood is a big thing. Often I'll try to throw on metal I usually love and it just doesn't hit right. I think that's why I gravitate towards fast-ish garage punk, it just kinda scratches a bunch of itches, keeps me active, my weird old brain etc haha. But some days are definitely METAL DAYS or chill days. I've been hooked on the new Billy Woods album which is straight up just Public Enemy/Kendrick style hiphop, amazing stuff. Probably my AOTY this year. Moods!
